Senate Bill 1899 Summary

• Amends 8 O.S. 2011, Section 183 to remove the application requirement for cemetery establishment in certain circumstances under Section 2 of the act.

• Authorizes municipal governing bodies to permit burial of human remains or relocation of remains to burial places on grounds of public institutions or private facilities within municipal boundaries.

• Prohibits use of such burial grounds for commercial cemetery purposes and prohibits burial sites on any private residential property.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2014.
