SB 1974 Summary

• Amends 21 O.S. 2011, Section 356 regarding contracts or purchases made in violation of law

• Changes the statutory reference from "the first preceding section" to "Section 355 of this title" for clarity and accuracy

• Maintains the provision that violating contracts or purchases are void and no public funds may be appropriated to pay them

• Continues to hold members of the governing body who vote for such illegal contracts personally liable for the full amount

• Becomes effective November 1, 2014
