ENGR. S. B. NO. 2007 Summary

• Amends the Oklahoma Charity Games Tax (3A O.S. 2011, Section 421) to add a tax exemption for charitable healthcare organizations operating bingo games, breakopen tickets, and other charity game equipment.

• Expands existing exemptions to include charitable healthcare organizations exempt under IRC Section 501(c)(3), joining current exemptions for veterans' organizations and group homes for mentally disabled individuals.

• The exemption applies to all charity game equipment including bingo faces, U-PIK-EM bingo game sets, breakopen ticket games, and other equipment when sold to qualifying organizations.

• Conforming amendment to the sales tax statute (68 O.S. 2011, Section 1355) to ensure consistency with the charity games tax exemptions for these healthcare organizations.

• Effective date: November 1, 2014.
