Senate Bill 2081 Summary

• Amends 21 O.S. 2011, Section 12.1 regarding minimum sentencing requirements for felony offenders

• Updates language to reference Section 13.1 of the title instead of "Section 30 of this act" regarding covered felony offenses

• Requires persons convicted of specified felony offenses on or after March 1, 2000 to serve at least 85% of their imposed sentence within the Department of Corrections

• Prohibits parole consideration and earned credits that would reduce sentences to less than 85% of the original sentence imposed

• Effective date: November 1, 2014
