SB 2125 Summary

• Makes an appropriation to the Department of Corrections from the General Revenue Fund for fiscal year ending June 30, 2015, with specific amounts to be determined for administrative, institutional, contract bed, community corrections, and treatment services categories.

• Requires the Department of Corrections to develop outcome-based performance measures for each budget category and sets budgetary limitations on full-time-equivalent employees and lease-purchase agreements.

• Limits the Director's salary to an amount to be specified and authorizes the department to employ up to 6% of its total authorized full-time-equivalent employees in the unclassified service.

• Provides that duties and compensation of employees shall be set by the Director, subject to the budgetary limitations and other provisions of Oklahoma law.

• Becomes effective September 1, 2014.
