SB 406 Summary

• Amends 47 O.S. 2011, Section 6-205 to modify mandatory revocation of driving privileges for failure to stop or remain stopped for school bus loading or unloading of children.

• First revocation for school bus violations (paragraph 11) shall be for one year and may be modified, unlike most other revocation offenses which cannot be modified.

• Any appeal of school bus-related driving privilege revocation shall be governed by Section 6-211, with modifications applying only to Class D motor vehicles.

• Removes reckless driving (former paragraph 10) from the list of offenses triggering mandatory revocation of driving privileges.

• Effective date: November 1, 2013.
