HB1060 Summary

• Amends 19 O.S. 2011, Section 339 to expand powers of county boards of commissioners regarding use of county funds and resources.

• Authorizes county commissioners to pay for improvements to county-owned property, public schools, two-year colleges, and technical branches of higher education institutions out of general county funds or county highway funds.

• Adds new authority for county commissioners to provide incentive awards to employees for participating in voluntary wellness programs with a Wellness Council established under Section 1302.

• Clarifies authority for county commissioners to establish petty cash accounts for vehicle license and registration fees, with the county purchasing agent as custodian and subject to audit.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2015.
