HB 1250 Summary

• Amends 47 O.S. 2011, Section 1132.1 to clarify language related to vehicle registration fees.

• Maintains a $3.00 fee levied on every vehicle registered or licensed (except those under Title 70, Section 1210.34(c)), payable to the Oklahoma Tax Commission.

• Two-thirds of collected fees transfer monthly to the State Treasurer for deposit in the General Revenue Fund.

• One-third of collected fees allocated to Motor Vehicle Driver Education Revolving Fund with caps of $400,000.00 annually (fiscal year 1999) and $900,000.00 annually (fiscal year 2000 and thereafter), with excess amounts transferred to General Revenue Fund.

• Becomes effective July 1, 2015.
