HB 1273 Summary

• Amends the Oklahoma Children's Code by modifying the definition of "sexual exploitation" to include allowing, permitting, or forcing a child to engage in prostitution by any person 18 years of age or older, expanding liability beyond persons responsible for the child's welfare

• Clarifies that "sexual exploitation" encompasses lewd, obscene, or pornographic photographing, filming, or depicting of a child by persons responsible for the child's health, safety, and welfare

• Corrects a statutory cross-reference in the definition of "guardian ad litem of the estate of the child" from Section 1-8-109 to Section 1-8-108

• Becomes effective November 1, 2015
