Department of Labor shall adopt rules requiring retail sales of compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) for motor vehicle fuel to be dispensed in standardized gallon equivalent units.

CNG shall be dispensed in gasoline gallon equivalent (GGE) units, initially set at 5.66 pounds, and LNG shall be dispensed in diesel gallon equivalent (DGE) units, initially set at 6.06 pounds.

Department of Labor may revise these standards through administrative rulemaking if energy content of motor fuels changes, with consideration given to standards adopted by the National Conference on Weights and Measures.

Standards adopted by the National Conference on Weights and Measures for CNG and LNG shall be presumed appropriate for Oklahoma unless the Department demonstrates good cause to adopt different standards.

Act becomes effective November 1, 2015.
