Prohibits municipalities from adopting ordinances that restrict or expand the powers and duties of duly elected law enforcement officers unless authority is specifically granted by the municipal charter.

Prohibits municipalities from adopting ordinances that restrict or expand the supervisory and management authority of duly elected law enforcement officers unless authority is specifically granted by the municipal charter.

Prohibits municipalities from adopting ordinances that regulate day-to-day activities of duly elected law enforcement officers unless authority is specifically granted by the municipal charter.

Codifies the prohibition as Section 13-116 of Title 11 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

Effective date: November 1, 2015.
