HB 1373 Summary

• Expands fishing license exemptions to include legal residents born on or before January 1, 1923; veterans with 60% or more disability; surviving spouses and children (under 21) of disabled veterans; and Gold Star Lapel Button recipients.

• Expands hunting license exemptions with the same veteran and survivor categories, plus persons with disabilities preventing use of firearms and those in child care facilities.

• Provides discounts on lifetime combination hunting and fishing licenses for disabled veterans (60%+ disability) at $25.00 and for veterans with less than 60% disability at $200.00, with similar discounts for surviving spouses and children.

• Establishes discounts for deer hunting licenses ($19.00 for gun, archery, or primitive firearms) for disabled veterans at 100% compensation rate, their surviving spouses, children under 21, and Gold Star Lapel Button recipients.

• Effective November 1, 2015.
