Applicants paying handgun license application fees by credit card or electronic funds transfer must complete and submit their application through the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation's online application process.

Handgun license application fee remains $100.00, payable by money order, cashier's check, nationally recognized credit card (accepted by over 1,000 merchants), or electronic funds transfer.

Applicants must complete firearms safety and training course, submit original training certificate, provide two passport-size photographs, and deliver completed application in person to county sheriff.

Sheriff must submit application materials to Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation within 14 days, including fingerprints, photographs, training certificate, and preliminary investigation report.

Act becomes effective November 1, 2015.
