HB 1616 Summary

• Removes provisions relating to determination of salaries for the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control Director

• Requires State Medical Examiner to report deaths from controlled dangerous substance abuse to the Bureau Director, State Board of Medical Licensure, and State Board of Osteopathic Examiners

• Adds numerous hallucinogenic substances and synthetic cannabinoids to Schedule I controlled substances, including specific JWH compounds and structural analogues

• Deletes hydrocodone with another active ingredient from Schedule III and adds several substances including ketamine, bromazepam, suvorexant, and tramadol to Schedule IV

• Expands prohibited acts to include knowingly failing to disclose receipt of controlled dangerous substances or prescriptions from other practitioners within previous 30 days, and modifies substance destruction submission requirements under the Anti-Drug Diversion Act
