HB 1671 Summary

• Increases minimum liability insurance limits for motor vehicle liability policies issued or renewed on or after November 1, 2015 from $25,000/$50,000/$25,000 to $35,000/$50,000/$35,000 for bodily injury and property damage coverage.

• Amends 47 O.S. 2011, Section 7-103 to modify the definition of minimum liability insurance limits to reflect the new coverage amounts effective November 1, 2015.

• Increases minimum liability insurance requirements for taxicab operators under 47 O.S. 2011, Section 8-104 from $25,000/$50,000/$25,000 to $35,000/$50,000/$35,000.

• Increases minimum liability insurance requirements for vocational or area school vehicles under 70 O.S. 2011, Section 1210.43 from $25,000/$50,000/$25,000 to $35,000/$50,000/$35,000.

• Effective date is November 1, 2015.
