Increases physician assistant committee membership from two to three physician assistants appointed by the State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision

Permits supervising physicians to be available to physician assistants through telemedicine or telecommunications instead of requiring constant physical presence

Requires supervising physicians to review a sample of outpatient medical records, which may occur at the practice site or via telecommunication

Deletes requirement that physician assistants obtain prior approval from the State Board to practice in remote patient care settings

Effective date November 1, 2015
