HB 1835 Summary

• Male applicants ages 16-25 applying for original, renewal, or replacement driver licenses must include a consent statement for Selective Service registration, with application denial for refusal to sign.

• Department must forward applicant information to Selective Service System's Data Management Center to complete required registration.

• All driver license applicants must provide both primary and secondary proofs of identity at time of application, with department rules to prescribe acceptable forms.

• Valid and unexpired Oklahoma driver licenses may serve as both primary and secondary proofs of identity when applying for identification cards, exempting certain statutory provisions.

• Act becomes effective November 1, 2015.
