HB 1840 Summary

• Modifies Section 724 of the Oklahoma lottery law to clarify prohibitions on lottery ticket purchases by Oklahoma Lottery Commission board members, officers, and employees, and their immediate family members residing in the same household.

• Allows Commission board members, officers, and employees to purchase tickets only when doing so under the direction and control of the Commission as part of investigative or undercover activities.

• Directs that the full amount of any prize money from winning tickets purchased by Commission officials during investigative or undercover activities shall be credited to the Teachers' Retirement System Dedicated Revenue Revolving Fund.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2015.
