OK HB1874

Amends Section 1311.4 of the Bail Enforcement and Licensing Act to allow licensed bondsmen in Oklahoma to seek or provide assistance from bondsmen in Oklahoma or other states for apprehension and surrender of defendant clients.

Requires bondsmen seeking or providing assistance to have continuously valid licenses for five or more years beginning on the effective date of this act.

Mandates that the Oklahoma-licensed bondsman obtain and maintain proof of the other bondsman's valid license and license duration before permitting that person to engage in any act requiring a license in Oklahoma.

Eliminates certain existing licensing requirements for assistance between bondsmen as previously established in Chapter 373, O.S.L. 2014.

Becomes effective November 1, 2015.
