HB 1882 Summary

• Adds the State Fire Marshal Commission to the list of state entities authorized to purchase passenger automobiles and buses with public funds.

• Corrects the name of the Oklahoma Department of Veteran Veterans Affairs to Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs.

• Maintains existing restrictions on vehicle purchases by state boards, commissions, and departments, with exceptions limited to 26 named entities plus educational institutions.

• Authorizes the J.D. McCarty Center, Oklahoma Department of Libraries, Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs, and Oklahoma Veterans Centers to own and maintain only those passenger vehicles acquired before May 1, 1981.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2015.
