Amends 63 O.S. 2011, Section 2-312 to expand controlled substance prescribing authority to advanced practice nurses.

Advanced registered nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, and certified nurse-midwives may prescribe and administer Schedule II, III, IV, and V controlled dangerous substances when subject to medical direction by a supervising physician.

Certified registered nurse anesthetists may order, select, obtain, and administer Schedule II through V controlled dangerous substances only during preanesthetic preparation, anesthesia induction/maintenance/emergence, or postanesthesia care and only during perioperative or periobstetrical periods.

Physician assistants may prescribe and administer Schedule II through V controlled dangerous substances when recognized by the State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision and subject to medical direction by a supervising physician.

Act becomes effective November 1, 2015.
