• Amends Oklahoma law (47 O.S. 2011, Section 11-904) regarding penalties for personal injury accidents involving motor vehicle violations.

• First offense for leaving the scene of a personal injury accident: misdemeanor punishable by 90 days to 1 year imprisonment and up to $2,500 fine.

• Second or subsequent offense: felony punishable by 1 to 5 years imprisonment and up to $5,000 fine.

• Causing great bodily injury in an accident: felony punishable by 1 to 10 years imprisonment and up to $5,000 fine; defines "great bodily injury" as injury creating substantial risk of death or causing serious permanent disfigurement or loss of bodily function.

• Effective date: November 1, 2015.
