HB 1003 Summary

• Amends 59 O.S. 2011, Section 1006 regarding journeyman plumbers and plumbing contractor licenses issued by the Construction Industries Board.

• Requires the Construction Industries Board to adopt procedures and rules to review and accept documentation of qualified training and experience obtained through active duty military service.

• Applies to service members discharged from active duty within one year of applying for examination or licensure as a journeyman plumber or plumbing contractor in Oklahoma.

• Maintains existing requirement that all plumbing licenses remain nontransferable and prohibits license holders from loaning or allowing use of licenses by other persons, firms, or corporations.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2015.
