Retired commissioned officers of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol may purchase their service rifle or shotgun at the replacement cost the Department paid at time of purchase, with proceeds deposited in the Department of Public Safety Revolving Fund.

Retired agents of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are authorized to purchase their issued rifle or shotgun at the price the Bureau paid at time of purchase, with ownership transferring upon payment.

Ownership records for transferred weapons must be modified to reflect the retirement officer as the new owner.

All law enforcement officers retiring from specified agencies retain continued custody and possession of their service sidearm and badge.

The act becomes effective November 1, 2015.
