Senate Bill 197 Summary

• Repeals 11 O.S. 2011, Sections 51-101 through 51-113, which establish Oklahoma's fire and police arbitration law framework.

• Eliminates statutory provisions governing collective bargaining rights, public employees relations board procedures, and unfair labor practices for municipal fire and police employees.

• Removes arbitration procedures including selection of arbitrators, hearing procedures, factors to be considered in arbitration decisions, fees and expenses, and agreement content requirements.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2015.
