Removes switchblade knife from the list of prohibited weapons under 21 O.S. Section 1272, which governs unlawful carry of weapons in Oklahoma.

Continues to prohibit carrying other weapons including pistols, revolvers, shotguns, rifles, daggers, bowie knives, dirk knives, sword canes, automatic-opening knives, blackjacks, and metal knuckles.

Maintains existing exceptions for proper use of weapons for hunting, fishing, educational or recreational purposes, and authorized use by peace officers and judges.

Violation remains a misdemeanor punishable under Section 1276 of Oklahoma law.

Effective date is November 1, 2015.
