Senate Bill 229 Summary

• Amends Oklahoma Statutes Title 2, Section 2-4 to add new powers to the State Board of Agriculture

• Authorizes the State Board of Agriculture to develop a pollinator protection plan to promote the health of and mitigate risks to honeybees and other managed pollinators

• Adds this pollinator protection authority as item 35 to the existing list of Board powers under 2 O.S. 2011, Section 2-4

• Effective date is November 1, 2015
