SB 32 Summary

• Extends in-person absentee voting hours on Thursday and Friday immediately preceding any election from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Extends in-person absentee voting hours on Saturday and Sunday immediately preceding state or federal elections from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., changing the opening time from 9 a.m. to 8 a.m. and extending closing time from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

• Requires registered voters to swear or affirm they have not voted a regular mail absentee ballot and will not vote at the regular polling place for the election.

• Permits counties with 100,000 or more registered voters to designate multiple in-person absentee polling locations subject to State Election Board approval.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2015.
