SB 334 Summary

• Amends 68 O.S. 2011, Section 2358 to add a new income tax deduction for Oklahoma motorcycle safety education courses approved by the Department of Public Safety, effective for taxable years beginning after December 31, 2015.

• Allows individual taxpayers to deduct any expenditure on successful completion of Oklahoma Motorcycle Safety Foundation education courses from their Oklahoma adjusted gross income.

• Requires the motorcycle safety courses to be approved by the Department of Public Safety in order to qualify for the deduction.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2015.
