SB 425 Summary

• Amends Oklahoma's Alcoholic Beverage Control Act by modifying definitions, license types, and application procedures for alcoholic beverage sales

• Allows package stores to sell alcoholic beverages to charitable organizations holding charitable event licenses; permits mixed beverage licensees to utilize licensed caterers under certain conditions

• Requires public event license applicants to apply at least 60 days before first event; mandates caterers declare which licensed caterer will be used for events and pay applicable taxes

• Adds corporate and limited liability company information requirements for public event license applicants; makes language gender-neutral throughout the statute

• Establishes excise tax exemptions for charitable events and public event licensees using licensed caterers; effective November 1, 2015
