SB47 Summary

• Modifies the Size and Weight Enforcement Section to employ one Captain, eight Lieutenants, and a minimum of 25 additional Oklahoma Highway Patrol members, changing the previous structure of one First Lieutenant and three Second Lieutenant Supervisors.

• Establishes salary schedules for Marine Enforcement Section commissioned officers: Patrol Captain at $69,004.00, Patrol Lieutenant at $62,731.00, and Patrolman at $57,028.00, exclusive of longevity pay, expense allowance, and irregular shift pay.

• Changes the Communications Section policy to allow employees to be promoted to the position of Communications Coordinator, reversing the prior prohibition on such promotions.

• Updates the Driver License Division title to "Driver License Examining Services Division" and establishes salary standards based on the State of Oklahoma Total Remuneration Study of 2013.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2015.
