State agencies must disclose federal and/or state authority for any part of their operations when requested by a legislative resolution during regular sessions of the Oklahoma Legislature.

Any member of the Senate or House of Representatives may introduce a resolution requesting a statement of legal authority for a specific agency function, including references to constitutional provisions, statutes, rules, and regulations.

Agency directors or heads have 10 days upon receipt of a resolution to deliver the requested legal authority documentation to the resolution's author(s) by regular mail or electronic format, with possible extension by request.

Agency directors or heads who fail to submit a response to a lawful request may be subject to removal from office.

The act became effective on November 1, 2015.
