Senate Bill 517 Summary

• Amends Oklahoma statute 10A O.S. 2011, Section 1-9-104, governing allocation of Child Abuse Multidisciplinary Account (CAMA) funds to multidisciplinary child abuse teams and child advocacy centers.

• Removes requirement for the Department of Human Services, Child Abuse Training and Coordinating Council, and Children's Advocacy Centers of Oklahoma, Inc., to meet annually to review CAMA fund disbursement amounts.

• Maintains existing provisions for CAMA funding eligibility, accreditation standards, review procedures, and funding distribution calculations based on weighted categories of teams and centers.

• Preserves provisions allowing teams and centers to carry over unused funding for one year, with funds unused after 24 months deducted from the next contract year.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2015.
