SB 623 Summary

• Amends Oklahoma Vehicle License and Registration Act (47 O.S. 2011, Section 1102) to add "Vehicle remanufacturer" as a defined term for a commercial entity that assembles remanufactured vehicles

• Authorizes utility vehicles as defined in Section 1102 to operate on streets and highways of the state

• Modifies regulations for all-terrain vehicles to allow operation on public streets and highways under specific conditions: direct crossings with valid driver license during daylight hours, railroad track crossings up to 300 feet, municipal ordinance authorization, or county approval for agricultural use

• Clarifies that golf carts and utility off-highway vehicles may operate on state highways only when making perpendicular crossings within municipality boundaries that have adopted governing ordinances

• Becomes effective November 1, 2015
