Direct the State Purchasing Director to examine state purchasing policies for products installed, used or stored in buildings to establish preferences for products with transparent ingredients and health impacts.

Require full implementation of existing state policies for selecting products with lesser environmental and health impacts, including use of available identification tools such as GreenScreen benchmark, Cradle to Cradle, and Health Product Declarations.

Mandate the State Purchasing Director make recommendations to the Legislature regarding legislative authorizations needed to further promote purchasing policies designed to lessen negative environmental impacts.

Distribute a copy of the resolution to the Governor and the Director of State Purchasing at the Office of Management and Enterprise Services.
