HB 1373 Summary

• Expands fishing license exemptions to include survivors of deceased disabled veterans (60%+ disability), children under 21 of deceased disabled veterans, and Gold Star Lapel Button recipients.

• Expands hunting license exemptions with same veteran-related categories and adds exemptions for rattlesnake hunting event participants with valid permits.

• Creates new disability discount lifetime combination hunting and fishing licenses at $200 for disabled veterans with less than 60% disability and $25 for those with 60% or more disability, plus surviving spouses and eligible children.

• Requires purchasers of lifetime fishing, hunting, or combination licenses to also purchase a Lifetime Oklahoma Wildlife Land Stamp for $25, with proceeds supporting land acquisition and management.

• Effective November 1, 2015.
