Hospice programs in Oklahoma must be managed by administrators who meet requirements established in the bill.

All hospice administrators must complete 8 hours of continuing education each calendar year, with courses consisting of a minimum of 45 minutes in length and available either in person or online.

At least 2 of the 8 required hours must cover ethics, and membership in a statewide hospice care organization counts as 1 hour of ethics credit annually.

The State Board of Health shall promulgate rules for continuing education course qualifications and may collaborate with statewide hospice organizations to develop standards.

Hospice programs must maintain records demonstrating administrator completion of required continuing education, which the State Department of Health may request at any time; effective November 1, 2015.
