State Board of Health shall promulgate rules defining "residential care home" as establishments providing residential accommodations, food service, and supportive assistance to unrelated residents who are ambulatory and capable of managing their own affairs.

Residential care homes may provide home health skilled nursing services but cannot require 24-hour skilled nursing care, supervision, or intermediate care.

Definition includes transitional living facilities and halfway houses as defined in Section 3-403 of Title 43A of the Oklahoma Statutes.

Multi-unit residential care homes may consist of disconnected buildings or units if owned by the same operator, residents can ambulate between buildings, all buildings are within 175 feet of the main kitchen and dining room, and outdoor premises are maintained for resident health and safety.

Act becomes effective November 1, 2015.
