Extends the time limit for courts to modify criminal sentences from 24 months to 60 months after the initial sentence is imposed or after probation is revoked

Applications for sentence modification filed beyond 12 months require district attorney approval and written notice to victims

Drug offenders sentenced to the Drug Offender Work Camp at Bill Johnson Correctional Facility may have sentences modified beyond the 60-month period

Does not apply to convicted felons who have been confined in any state or federal prison for a previous felony within the 10 years preceding sentencing
