On two-lane highways, drivers must proceed with due caution and reduce speed to safe conditions when passing collection vehicles with flashing warning lamps

Refuse, solid waste, and recyclable collection vehicles are authorized to use flashing side marker lamps in conjunction with turn signals or hazard warning lamps to indicate traffic hazards

Violations of flashing light restrictions constitute a misdemeanor punishable by up to 6 months in county jail, a fine up to $2,000, or both
