Impersonation involving a Congressional Medal of Honor is a felony punishable by up to $5,000 fine and/or up to 1 year imprisonment

Presenting falsified or altered documents as proof of military service or medal authorization is a felony with up to $5,000 fine and/or up to 1 year imprisonment
