County board of equalization members must complete a mandatory training course developed by Oklahoma State University Center for Local Government Technology within 18 months of appointment or forfeit their office

Members must also complete the same or similar training course within 18 months of any subsequent term appointment, with failure resulting in forfeiture of office

Board members in counties with assessed valuation of $2 billion or more receive up to $75 per day; members in all other counties receive up to $50 per day

Maximum paid days per year range from 40 to 90 days depending on county assessed valuation thresholds ($40 million, $80 million)
