Creates the "Apprenticeships, Internships and Mentorships (AIM) Act of 2016," allowing public, private, magnet, charter, and virtual charter schools to partner with private or public organizations for work-based learning programs

Beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, high school juniors and seniors may participate in apprenticeships, internships, and mentorships as permitted by their school

Participation may count toward elective course requirements but cannot replace any other state education requirements

School governing bodies may adopt policies setting registration and qualification requirements for organizations participating in the programs

Effective November 1, 2016, with the State Department of Education required to promulgate implementing rules
