Adds electronic communication threats as grounds for removing students from regular school settings, specifically when a student uses electronic communication with intent to terrify, intimidate, harass, or threaten to inflict injury or physical harm to faculty or other students

Schools may deny regular classroom placement to students removed from any public or private school (in Oklahoma or another state) for threatening electronic communications until the school determines the student no longer poses a threat

Students removed for electronic threats may receive education services through alternative school settings, home-based instruction, or other appropriate settings instead of regular classrooms

Schools must notify known victims among students or staff and ensure the offending student has no contact with victims who request separation

Effective date of July 1, 2016, with emergency clause for immediate implementation upon passage and approval
