Office of Management and Enterprise Services is now required (changed from "may") to publish a schedule of reimbursement rates for state employee travel

State agencies must use the Trip Optimizer system to calculate the most cost-effective travel method for employee trips exceeding 100 miles per day when not using a dedicated state vehicle

State employees may opt out of Trip Optimizer requirements if they use a personally owned vehicle and follow the published reimbursement schedule

Reimbursement rates may be categorized by vehicle type but cannot exceed IRS standard mileage rates
