Oklahoma residents aged 65 or older pursuing undergraduate teacher education or alternative placement programs would receive a waiver of resident tuition at Oklahoma State System of Higher Education institutions

Eligible students must meet admission standards set by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and secure enrollment at a member institution

Tuition waiver is available for 4 years from first enrollment or until completion of a baccalaureate degree in teacher education or alternative placement program requirements, whichever comes first

Students must maintain good academic standing and satisfactory academic progress to retain eligibility for the waiver

Effective date of July 1, 2016, with an emergency clause for immediate implementation upon passage
