School districts must complete comprehensive self-assessments on their physical education programs and best practices for each physical education measure assessed

Physical activity reports must be provided to parents/guardians at least annually and made publicly available on the State Department of Education's website

Reports must include new detailed information: amount of physical education offered by grade level and minutes per week, student enrollment in PE classes, whether PE is required for graduation, teacher licensing/certification status, adequacy of equipment and facilities, and accommodations for students with disabilities

Elementary schools (full-day kindergarten through grade 5) must provide minimum 60 minutes per week of physical education instruction, with recess time not counting toward this requirement

Effective date: November 1, 2016
