HB 2915 Summary

• Amends 70 O.S. 2011, Section 1-106 to clarify the definition of public schools in Oklahoma.

• Changes language from "such" to "any" when referring to other school classes and instruction supported by public taxation or authorized by law.

• Defines Oklahoma public schools to include nurseries, kindergartens, elementary schools (K-6 or K-8), secondary schools, technology center schools (not exceeding two years of junior college work), night schools, adult and special classes, and vocational and technical instruction.

• Becomes effective November 1, 2016.
