Maximum salary for chief executive officers in state executive branch agencies, boards, commissions, departments, or programs cannot exceed the Governor's salary as specified in Section 250.4 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

All salary increases for chief executive officers require certification from the appointing authority that the increase can be funded in the current and subsequent fiscal year without additional appropriations.

Agencies must report all salary increases granted under this section to the Office of Management and Enterprise Services by August 1 each year, with OMES forwarding a consolidated report to the Governor, President Pro Tempore, and Speaker of the House by September 1.

The Office of Management and Enterprise Services must review salary ranges every three years beginning in fiscal year 2013 and make recommendations on proposed salary ranges by February 1 for all state executive branch chief executive officers.

Act becomes effective November 1, 2016.
