HB 3016 - Parental Rights Immunization Act Summary

• Health care providers administering vaccines listed in the federal Vaccine Injury Table must obtain informed consent from a child's legal representative or authorized adult before vaccination.

• Providers must supply relevant information about vaccine benefits and risks, as well as information on the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program prior to administration.

• Minimum required information includes providing a copy of the Vaccine Information Statement and making available the CDC's "Epidemiology and Prevention of Vaccine-Preventable Diseases: Vaccine Excipient and Media Summary" (Pink Book, Appendix B).

• Codified as Oklahoma Statutes Title 25, Sections 2006-2007, and becomes effective November 1, 2016.
